Last Saturday we went on a mini dx-camp led by Rocco in Maric\u00e1, Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n

We launched a mini bog and a longwire, both 200 meters length and also parallel.<\/p>\n

During gray line, we could appreciate good signals from Asia, Midle East, Africa and even Europe, from 20:00 to 23:00 UTC.<\/p>\n

575 kHz \u2013 Farda<\/p>\n

1503 kHz \/\/ 1557 kHz – WYFR Taiwan<\/p>\n

1431 kHz – Sawa, Djibouti<\/p>\n

1575 – Farda<\/p>\n

1197 kHz – WYFR Lesotho<\/p>\n

1296 kHz – Sudan<\/p>\n

1196,5 kHz – Angola (tent)<\/p>\n

1323 kHz – BBC WS, Cyprus<\/p>\n

1170 kHz – Sawa, UAE<\/p>\n

657 kHz – Pulpit, South Africa<\/p>\n

1557 kHz – France Info<\/p>\n

1512 kHz \u2013 Saudi Arabia (Jedah)<\/p>\n

1503 kHz \u2013 Iran<\/p>\n

\nDuring day ligth at the remote site chosen for the mini DX-Camp. Good signals from Africa, Asia, Middle East, and also Europe. DXing started 20:00 UTC and ended 23:30 UTC.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We used an AOR7030+ and Icom R75 with optional filters for better selectivity and AGC mod to enhance AM mode.<\/p>\n

Curiously, both radios showed similar performance, with similar antennas.<\/p>\n

I started uploading some videos to Youtube , www.youtube.com\/sarmento2k<\/a> to show in loco our experience.<\/p>\n

\nFarda, Middle East, UAE with clear sound heard during sunset. Mini Beverages with 200 meters length, over the sand of the beach, far from electrical noise sources.<\/em>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ll post a more detailed report and some photos of the beach and describe our experience in nulling stations from S\u00e3o Paulo State (east-west direction, aligned to Africa, S\u00e3o Paulo is directly backwards).<\/p>\n
